My name is Jeff Shearer, welcome to my site!
I am a social media marketer from Seattle, Washington, and I created this blog to share my thoughts about the world of marketing. I am a graduate of Western Washington University, and I am currently at Sesame Communications in Seattle, WA, where I work in social media marketing and search engine optimization.
I am particularly enthusiastic about social media, search marketing, branding and market research. I generally like to write topics based around social media and technology.
At the December 2009 Social Media Club Seattle event, I had the opportunity to meet Veronica Belmont, the host of Tekzilla and the Playstation Network's Qore.
I have been a gamer all of my life, and it is my hope to one day combine my marketing background with a career in the video gaming industry. I am the creator and editor in chief of Northwest Gamer, an editorial blog focused on the industry of video games. It has been a fantastic opportunity for me to work on my writing while building an online community that sees several hundred unique visitors every month, all through word of mouth and social media.
